There was a broken piece on the side that I noticed after a couple of weeks, but I swapped it out for a new on with no issue. It installed relatively easily, and looked great...at first. However, we've only had it for a little over one month, and it is starting to rust!!! We don't understand how a product that is meant to be OUTSIDE would rust that quickly. We're pretty upset that this is happening already, and we're disappointed that we spent over $50.00 on a product that is already going bad. We were looking for an attractive, functional and "different" mailbox than those found throughout our developmet. This mailbox was exactly what we were looking for. The overall experience: ordering the mailbox on-line, the easy and timely shipment and the simple step-by-step installation was fantastic. The only fault I would have with this particular mailbox is the latch to the door could be a little stronger as it does not take much effort (or an accidental knock) for it to open unexpectedly. WAPS love this mailbox Of all mailboxes I've owned I've never had any issues with wasps nesting INSIDE the mailbox. There are several holes (not sure why) that I had to plug, yet these critters are still finding a way in. I added foam between the mailbox and the door to the mailbox in the hope that they may enter using this path. I'm hoping for the best. In the meantime, my kids refuse to check the mail!! As far as the post is concerned (I bought it separately), there are also lots of hollow cavities that allow nesting. I am in the process of adding something to prevent this.
