If you’ve glimpsed our most recent issue, you know we’ve been talking a lot about custom home trends lately. We’ve pondered everything from $6, 000 toilets to posh pet stations, and everything in between, but the trend that this particular D Home editor was left desiring most: a super smart home. I’m talking about a house so clever it will have dinner waiting for me when I leave work. A home I can command at the touch of a button. The type of dwelling that a particular Disney channel original movie made me dream of one day owning—sans that bossy Katey Sagal, of course.
