Meet Dr. Ferreris

Juan Jose Ferreris, M.D.
Medical Director
The Children's Hospital of San Antonio Primary Care

The Children's Hospital of San Antonio Primary Care proudly introduces their Medical Director Dr. Juan Jose Ferreris. Dr. Ferreris received his medical degree from and completed his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He also served as Chief Pediatric Resident at UTHSCSA in 1997. Dr. Ferreris practiced with the San Antonio-based Solomon Anthony Clinic for two years before establishing Children First Pediatrics near the South Texas Medical Center. He is a board certified pediatrician, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and also serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UTHSCSA. With more than 15 years of pediatric experience, he is known for his endless energy and enthusiasm. He is also bilingual. Dr. Ferreris is married to his wife, Vicki, and also keeps busy caring for their two sons.

Meet Dr. Smith

Courtney Smith, MD, FAAP
The Children's Hospital of San Antonio Primary Care

Dr. Smith is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, LA. She completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX and fell in love with the city and people of San Antonio after serving as the Chief Resident at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. She is active in the Texas Pediatric Society and San Antonio Pediatric Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Smith is happily married to her husband Josh, and is mother to one wonderful son. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling throughout Texas, painting, and playing with the family’s chocolate Labrador mix, Tucker.

Meet Dr. Willis

Theresa Willis, MD, FAAP
The Children's Hospital of San Antonio Primary Care

Dr. Willis is a native Texan. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and completed medical school and Pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston Texas in 2011. Prior to her medical training, Dr. Willis had a background in elementary education and Speech Therapy.

In addition to her career in medicine, Dr. Willis has recently become a competitive Powerlifter. She holds several State records as well as a National title and in May 2016 competed in an Intermational Powerlifting Federation event in South Africa as part of the USAPL National team.

She is the mother of 3. Her eldest daughter is a graduate of LSU and her twin boys are attending UT and the University of Houston.
